Development of framework for self-adaptive system on quadrotor robots
  • Supervisor : Prof. Shinichi Honiden
  • Student : Master and Ph D students
  • Duration : 3 to 6 months
  • Requirements :
    • Candidate should have previous experiences in programming of embedded system or robotic control software. Experience in quadrotor is the best.
    • Candidate should have programming skills (Java, C/C++/C#).
    • Furthermore, interest in software engineering is required.

Tool Development for Academic Intercloud on Scientific Information Network
  • Supervisor : Prof. Shinichi Honiden
  • Student : Master and Ph.D students, preference for Master
  • Duration : 2 to 6 months
  • Requirements :
    • Analytical skills: We will conduct surveys on testings and report on several aspects. Basic statistical analysis will be needed.
    • Programming languages: The candidate should be experienced in Python, Ruby and puppet.
    • Experience in studying APIs and technical documents.
    • Basic understanding and interests in intercloud technology
    • Good command in English (Japanese language is a plus, but not required).

Self-Adaptive Behaviors in Wireless Sensor Networks
  • Supervisor : Prof. Shinichi Honiden
  • Student : Master and Ph D students
  • Duration : 2 to 6 months
  • Requirements : The ideal candidate would have knowledge of algorithm design for self-adaptation (such as meta-heuristics, machine learning, evolutionary computation), and experiences of developing WSN applications upon existing commercial sensor node, e.g. Crossbow MicaZ, or SunSpot.
